IDERHA had a strong participation this year in the European Federation of Medical Informatics (EFMI) annual conference, the Medical Informatics Europe (MIE2024) in Athens. 

Hans Verstraete from Johnson & Johnson presented the IDERHA projects during the Leiden Drug Development Conference on the 19th of September. 

Beginning of September, several IDERHA researchers came together to assess the development status of our federated infrastructure.

Today, we publish the second video interview of a series with the PAB members of IDERHA. Cristian Andriciuc is one of these PAB members and was interviewed about the role of the PAB in IDERHA, and his ambitions for the project. 

Soon after IDERHA’s first publication, we are happy to announce that work package two published their work in BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making. The publication dives into the world of transformer models in biomedicine.

IDERHA members Philip Gribbon and Torsten Blum recently participated in a series of cancer data workshops organized by the European Committee. Summaries are available now through the EU Digital Strategy website. 

IDERHA’s first publication is now available on Open Research Europe and presents IDERHA's plan of alignment with the EHDS. IDERHA will actively participate in shaping EHDS as one of the first pan-European initiatives. 

August 1st is World Lung Cancer Day. IDERHA member Prof. Torsten Blum works as a pulmonologist and thoracic oncologist and shares his thoughts on the project with IDERHA researcher Rebecca Graebig-Rancourt. 

IDERHA was mentioned twice in the Austrian Computer Society Journal. The work of IDERHA was highlighted by our consortium members Rada Hussein and Stefan Sauermann. 

The Patient Advisory Board (PAB) is one of the three advisory boards within IDERHA and provides an invaluable patient perspective throughout the project’s lifecycle. Meet the members of the PAB now via our website. 

Today, we publish the first video interview of a series with the PAB members of IDERHA. Viorica Cursaru is one of these PAB members and was interviewed about the role of the PAB in IDERHA, and her ambitions for the project. 

Over a hundred people attended the first IDERHA Public Forum in mid April. In an inspiring setting at the Fraunhofer Forum in Berlin, IDERHA researchers, patient representatives, representatives from parallel projects, and other interested parties exchanged ideas, progress, and discussed a tiger in the wild.

IDERHA strongly values the patient perspective on the work within the project and is integrating this via the Patient Advisory Board (PAB), which now consists of eight participants. IDERHA is pleased to announce that EPF and LuCE are looking for additional members for the PAB.
