Developing Consensus Policy Recommendations

WP6 will focus on making recommendations to the broader external community to accelerate policy development to meet the current and future advances in the digitization of health data, research methods, and healthcare innovations.

The consensus policy recommendations will focus on:

Ethical and legal governance of heterogeneous health data access and sharing to enable multi-stakeholder research, and
Criteria for the evaluation of research derived from heterogeneous health data for regulatory, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and payor for decision-making associated with medicines and medical devices.

WP6 Structure

The WP6 project approach will focus on creating multi-stakeholder alignment to address critical policies gaps to advance the broader acceptance and use of high-quality and reliable heterogeneous health data research.

Task 6.1. WP6 Leadership Engagement and Oversight
Task 6.2. Analysis of policies affecting access to real-world data sources to enable high-quality multi-stakeholder research
Task 6.3. Establish multi-stakeholder consensus policy recommendations for data sharing, access and use governance policies
Task 6.4. Advance the acceptance of heterogeneous health data research in regulatory and HTA decision-making
Task 6.5. Monitor the progress and ensure integration with the European Health Data Space (EHDS), and AI regulations

About Our Public Engagement and Transparency Commitments

The convening activities and meetings will follow Chatham House rules in order the foster candid discussions and build consensus on pragmatic policy solutions. In order to ensure the ongoing public trust, IDERHA is committed to establishing transparency expectations for the work and gender engagement with individuals and organizations outside of the IDERHA Consortium and the IDAGC membership. The IDGAC will be tasked to advise and support the WP tasks and help shape the transparency processes for the activities.
