Transparency Policy

To come to a meaningful consensus, participants need to feel that they can openly discuss the challenging and problematic policy issues. To support open and trusting engagement, the workshops and forums convened under WP6 and others, will be held with the Chatham House Rule. When a meeting, or any part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participants, may be revealed to third parties. 

Transparency of the work is critical as the recommendations are intended to inform policy making broadly. Therefore, IDERHA will develop transparency policies and processes to enable public trust, mainly through WP6 and WP7. These policies will be ratified and overseen by the IDAGC. These policies will include publicly posting workshop/forum convening materials (agendas, participants, and a brief meeting summary), requesting public comments on interim reports, and public engagement in an annual public forum.
