IDERHA Awards 2024
Our consortium members: Sascha, Simon, Kiko and Sian were the rightful winners of the first IDERHA Awards. “It is amazing work that everyone of you have done during the first year of IDERHA!”
During the Annual Consortium meeting of IDERHA in Berlin, two awards were given to people within the consortium: one for ‘what’ they did, and one for ‘how’ they did it. Project lead Christian Muehlendyck: “Nominations were sent in, and it was really hard to make the decision for the final winners.”
The first IDERHA award was given to Simon Scheider (Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering) and Sascha Herzinger (University of Luxembourg) for what they achieved during the first year of IDERHA. Simon and Sascha are both working for work package 1, which is focused on building the data infrastructure for IDERHA. They received the award because their teams delivered a tremendous amount of work during this first year and for actively sharing information with other consortium members. “Simon and Sascha took leadership of the process together with their teams”, Phil said.
Next, the IDERHA award for how achievements were made was rewarded. The award was given to Sian Estdale (Labcorp) and Kiko Núñez (Unidad de Innovación & Análisis de datos). Sian and Kiko are both active in multiple work packages and are thereby connecting the work packages within IDERHA. “Sian and Kiko receive this award because they are motivating the teams around them to get the work within IDERHA done in a constructive way”, project lead Phil Gribbon told the audience. “In addition, they succeed in translating our needs into the language that the clinical personnel understand.” Their work is focused on the team achievement and not about themselves.
