IDERHA at the annual conference of iHD

News News

There was a great reunion and representation of IDERHA at the annual conference of our consortium partner iHD.

Focusing on Building Trust in the Use and Re-Use of Health Data, the annual conference of iHD (European Institute for Innovation through Health Data) in Ghent on 30 November to 1 December provided a great opportunity for IDERHA to actively participate in the program. In addition, IDERHA was selected as one of four IHI/IMI Real-World Data Projects that Dr. Andrzej Ryś – Visiting Researcher at Oxford University and Principal Advisor of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) of the European Commission – presented in the welcome session.

Dominik Geller from our consortium partner HYGASIO shared his thoughts on Dynamic Consenting during the session on Trusting the European Health Data Space. Christian Muehlendyck presented the IDERHA project during the session on tustworthy AI systems, focusing on the value of our secure data infrastructure, and the importance of the completeness of the real-world datasets to have them reflect reality and thereby, for example, avoid potential biases in algorithms. Dipak Kalra, as president of iHD, eloquently and competently lead through the conference, never short of a witty remark.

All in all, it was a very insightful and productive conference, and we are looking forward to next year’s meeting.
